I hope you’re doing well? In today’s post I’ll be reviewing the O.P.I nail varnishes, specifically the shade Tickle me France-Y. I’ll be talking more about the formula than the colour though so if this isn’t a colour you would go for then don’t worry as the post isn’t centred around that!
Before I get into the post I just wanted to remind you that I currently have my giveaway open! I’m celebrating hitting 250 followers so if you’d like to enter go to this POST! Okay let’s get into this review!
Using the product:
I have minis of these products so I’m not sure how different the brushes are on full sized versions but I must say I love the applicator. I find it so easy to manoeuvre and I hardly made any mess on the skin around my nails, something that I’m normally quite bad at. The colour I chose took about 4 coats to get to the level of opacity I was happy with, although don’t be put off by this as each coat dries really quickly allowing you to put the next one on soon after.
The polish its self is a really good formula and you can tell that you have paid for the quality. It’s smooth and glides onto the nail nicely, doesn’t feel sticky or tacky like I have found with some cheaper nail varnishes. I think the formula has the perfect watery ratio in order to make it easy to put onto the nail without getting any patches. I chose to put on the colour Tickle Me France-Y because I thought it looked like a pretty nude/pink shade and it is, the colour in the bottle is exactly what has been created on my nails so I am very happy about that!
The only downside is that the ends of mine chipped in less than 24 hours! This happens with EVERY nail polish I use because of the fact that I work in retail. Only 2 nails have slightly chipped at the ends and it’s barely noticeable but it has happened unfortunately,
Over all opinion:
I loved the formula of the brand and think that the brush made it super easy to work with. The colour was opaque and exactly how I had wanted it to look. Annoyingly, it didn’t stand up to the hands on job that is retail work but hey what would!
I do think these polishes make a great gift as there that extra bit special or as a treat to yourself for a special occasion. If you’re just a beginner or amateur like me then there’s really no need to spend out on this product. If like me, you like to change the colour of your nails a lot then one expensive product probably isn’t the way to go. On the other hand, if you want one colour that you can have for everyday use then definitely try out these as I think you’d like them a lot!
I hope this was a good insight into these nail varnishes. Don’t forget to enter my giveaway HERE! (closes on the 6th June)
