I hope you’re doing well? Recently you might have read my November makeup haul, which was basically made up of all high end products, now that I’ve been using the items for a few weeks I thought it was time to give you might full review on a few pieces. Starting with the Two Faced Liquid Lipstick in the shade Sell Out. Let’s get into the review!
Firstly the packaging, I love the unique shape and embossed writing that’s been used as I feel like it really gives the product that high end kinda vibe. The applicator is nicely shaped to which makes it really easy to apply, I’m pretty sure this is called a sponge tip app located but I’m not sure… Either way it works well and picks up a lot of product, usually enough to cover both lips with just one dip.
The shade I picked up is Sell Out. I wanted a warm toned, neutral shade that A, I wouldn’t go off and B, could wear on a daily basis. Sell Out lives up perfectly to my wants and therefore I can honestly say this is my new go to shade for pretty much every look. I mostly do fairly natural looks for school however I did enjoy using it with a heavier makeup look when I attended a concert last weekend. It’s more of a brown/almost pink toned colour so if that’s what you’d usually go for I’m sure you’d love this shade!
The products formula is a lot more watery than I’d originally expected although I think that’s what helps to make it comfortable and not too drying on the lips so it’s by no means a bad thing. As mentioned earlier a little goes a long way, I can’t say wether that’s down to the nice applicator or the formula itself but either way it’s definitely a positive. The product is also fairly long wearing and I haven’t bothered to take the whole thing around with me for on the go top ups. Being completely honest it doesn’t last all day and is very faded and patchy after about 5 hours especially if I’ve eaten but that’s still better than most of my other liquid lipsticks.
I can’t say I’ve noticed a massive difference between high end and drugstore liquid lipsticks. However, I do prefer the longevity of Two Faced formula as this was definitely the aspect that set this product apart from other drugstore formulas.
I won’t say this product is a must have because as I’ve said it’s not massively different from drugstore brands such as The Body Shop and Revolution. But if you struggle with dry/cracked lips or want something more long wearing then it’s likely you’ll love this formula.
I’ll be doing a straight comparison of High End vs. Drugstore liquid lipsticks in a future post so be sure to follow my blog so you don’t miss that.
I would quickly like to give a shout out to a friend of mine who has recently started a YouTube channel! Please show some love to Indie over YouTube! I know she’d love your support.
Tthank you for reading as always I appreciate anyone who’s made it all the way through! See you in my next post.
