I hope you’re doing well? I hope you guys are loving the giveaway I launched a couple of days ago, if you are yet to enter be sure to check that out after reading this – it’s open until January 2018! Today I thought I’d go back to something classic – A haul post. Well sort of. This isn’t a haul of new products I’ve brought but instead showing you what I have in my collection that I think is perfect for Christmas/Winter. In this post I’ll specifiaclly be talking about lip products but if you’d like some collections from other categories then just let me know. I also I’ve swatched the lipsticks but have decided not to show them on my lips as I just don’t know how to take good photos of my makeup. Anyway let’s start this little showcase.
Firstly, I wanted to share with you two lip kits from Makeup Revolution. Both sets are £6 and the variety of shades is insane. these two are pretty contrasting but I love them both. I’ve included a nude shade because although it is not that festive, when you do heavy makeup looks it can be nice to balance it out with a good nude.
Above we have photos from the Lip Kit Majesty and below are photos of the Lip Kit Noble.
Whilst were looking at nudes here is a more berry toned shade that I think works great on light-medium skin tones like mine. On deeper skin tones I think this would be a great subtle shade when you just want to pop something on. I’m talking about the lipstick Looking Buff from SeveenTeen. (Annoyingly I only took one photo of this product but you can still see the shade and packaging)
From one berry tone to the next, I wanted to show of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade Rome. I love this shade all year round but because of it’s slightly darker tones I think it is better sutied for the Autumn/Winter time. As you can see from images below this is a really cute lip shade that is just a touch darker than the one I previously showed you.
Finally, I wanted to talk about a lipstick that I wish I’d been grabbing for more. I always forget how much I like this shade. This ELF lipstick doesn’t have a shade as far as I can see but it’s a lovely warmed tone brown that has a deep orange undertone. It matches the autumnal vibes perfectly and I think it can definitely be brought into the winter time too.
So there you have the 5 lipsticks I think are great for this time of year! What are your favourites? Let me know in the comments below.
