I hope you’re doing well? Makeup revolution brought out their own concealer and I was so excited for the launch that I decided to head out to the drugstore and buy it for myself. Whilst I was there I picked up a few extra bits that I wanted to share with you guys. So let’s get into this!
Superdrug always have at least 10% student discount across all their products but recently they had a 20% student discount which made these products even more worthwhile. I literally went to Superdrug a) to get the new Revolution concealer and b) to take advantage of the discount.
The Nip+Fab Blusher Platte is a gorgeous quad palette that has both cool toned and warm toned shades. The packaging is skinny but because the pans are of a decent size it’s still relatively large although annoyingly it doesn’t come with a mirror. Each of the shades has a little bit of shimmer to it but not too much to be over powering. As you can see from swatches the shades are all nicely pigmented and really wearable. The shades do feel smooth to touch and from first impressions there doesn’t seem to be much fallout.
Liquid highlight is such a trend on Instagram and I thought it was worthwhile trying it out for myself. I picked up the Makeup Revolution liquid highlight in the shade Luminous Gold. The packaging comes with a dropper which makes it quite a fun product.
As you’d expect this is a very watery formula and it does have a lot of pigmentation. However the swatch you can see above is the product before the highlight has been blended out. When you blend it out it becomes more of a transparent shimmery consistency.
Finally, the main product from shopping trip – Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define concealer. I decided to get it in two shades C3 and C9 so I could use the lightest shade for brightening and the darker shade for blemish covering. How cute is the rose gold pakcaging? I’m loving that. I feel like this is one of the nicest looking drugstore concealers ever.
The concealer has been compared to the Tarte Shape Tape. I think that comparison is down to the packaging shape and large sponge tip applicator that comes with it. I can’t say whether it’s a dupe in terms of formulation as I don’t actually own the Tarte concealer but I’m doubtful. As long as it doesn’t oxidise it’s likely that this will be my favourite drugstore concealer.
Have you heard of this new concealer? I feel like it’s everywhere! Let me know what you think about these products below. There will be reviews up soon.
