Hey Guys,
I hope you’re doing well? So it’s nearly valentines day and I’ve got to admit I don’t particularly like this occasion, Haydn and I don’t celebrate it. But having said that – the romance brings out gorgeous pinks and peachy tones in makeup looks and I couldn’t resist getting involved by creating some of my own makeup looks. I’ve included two below so I hope you enjoy them.
First Look – Simply Glowing Pink
This was my attempt at a peachy glowing look. I created a look that is very feminine and full coverage but doesn’t quite cross the line into glamorous which, in my opinion helps to keep it flirty. I didn’t do a step by step for this look however I’ve listed the products used below and will tell you how I created the eye look specifically.
Products:
- Foundation: MAC Studio Fix Fluid
- Concealer: Revolution Conceal and Define
- Loose Powder: Rimmel Match Perfection
- Eyebrows: Bobbi Brown Gel Liner
- Bronzer: Sephora Contouring Palette
- Blusher: Nip + Fab Blusher Quad
- Highlighter: Soph X Revolution Palette
- Eye Primer: Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer
- Eyeshadow: Two Faced Sweet Peach Palette
- Mascara: Benefit Roller Lash
How I created this eye look:
- Firstly, I took the colour Georgia (Two Faced Sweet Peach Palette) as a transition shade. The colour adds a little bit of something but I mostly did this to soften up the concealer.
- To add to my original transition shade I took a touch of Puree but blended this well to keep the look light.
- On another blending brush I took Candied Peach and built up my transition shade I focused this a little lower than my previous shades however I did blend the shade out towards the top to keep the pink tones throughout.
- Across the centre of lid I decided to use Just Peachy originally I took this on a flat shader brush, although I went back in with a little bit of fixing spray to intensify the colour.
- To finish of the lid I took Nectar into my inner corner and blended it slightly out into my inner third. If you wanted to make this even brighter try taking this shade more outwards into the centre of your lid.
- So that all my shades were nicely blended together I went back it with a touch of Georgia to smooth all these shades together.
- Finally in order to make the eye look complete I used Candied Peach under my water line but kept it very close to avoid this looking too heavy.
And there you have it!
Second Look – Going Out OUT
This look probably not what you expect to see when you search for a valentines look book. But I decided to create this ‘heavier’ look as I wanted something that anyone in a relationship or not could wear as evening makeup. For a date night or a girls club crawl, I love this OUT OUT look.
- Foundation: Revlon Colour Stay
- Concealer: Revolution Conceal and Define
- Powder: Stay Matte
- Eyebrows: Bobbi Brown Gel Liner
- Bronzer: Sephora Contouring Palette
- Blusher: Nip + Fab Blusher Quad
- Highlighter: The Balm Mary Lou Manizer
- Eyeshadow: Soph X Makeup Revolution
- Mascara: LO’real Miss Baby Roll
- Lipstick: Makeup Revolution Lip Kit – Royal
How I Created This Look:
- Firstly, I took the shade Peaches and ran it through my crease. I dipped back into the shadow quite a few times as I knew I wanted to make this a more dramatic look.
- To continue building up my crease I used a blend of Danger and Strawberry Sweets until I was really happy with the depth and colour of my crease.
- I actually did a semi-cut crease to create this. To do this I took some concealer on a flat shader brush and did a smooth outline below my crease. I then filled in the rest of my lid (below the line only) with concealer and set it with the shade Pancakes.
- I wanted this look to have a high amount of shimmer so of course I used Pink Champagne on a wet brush to get an intense shine across my lid.
- I then used my crease blending brush again with a little bit more of Peaches and Danger to blend out the edges and keep the illusion of a smooth look.
- To make the outer corner look complete I took Mug Cake and focused it on the out corner, blending only slightly up into my crease.
- To finish of the look I took Strawberry Sweets under my lower lash line and finished the inner corners with a touch of Fairy Lights.
