Hey Guys,
I hope you’re doing well? I’ve actually wanted to write this post for a little while now but I’m always worried about what people will think. But here I am uploading it anyway because at the end of the day it is just my opinion. Obvious disclaimer, I am not saying my blog is in anyway the best and completely flawless. I simply want to share the things I notice when reading other blog posts that really annoy me.
- Pretty much anyone who designed their blog on a phone… I know not everyone has a home computer or laptop but let’s be real most people do, or at least do have access to one. I had this because there will always be preset widgets, pages and even sometimes posts that are drafts and still say ‘write text here’. Personally I think it looks very lazy and whilst blogging doesn’t have to be taken seriously getting rid of preset texts is literally the first step everyone should do before they upload.
- Similar ball park really but writing blog posts from a mobile. I’ll even admit to having done this in the past when I don’t have content to upload or am just saying a quick thank you if I’ve hit a little followers milestone. But this becomes a pet peeve when it’s a serious post or ‘serious’ post as it were, a makeup look, haul, etc. I just don’t think an entire post should be written from a mobile. Using a desktop enables you to format the post and make it more visually interesting.
- I feel like my points are flowing well – the next is about visual aids. Some posts, like this one in fact, don’t particularly need images. However, if you’ve uploaded a beauty haul and I can’t see your products I’m (and most other readers) not going to hang around very long. I’m serious… The annoying thing is this is so common.
- Now this one is a little hypocritical as in all honesty I do make a lot of grammatical and spelling mistakes in my posts. But it’s not actually that which bothers me. It’s seeing ‘I’ in the lowercase form when it should be capitalised. Probably because it links back to laziness and my hatred of blogging from a phone.
P.S I don’t want to include any images for this post as I’m not gonna shame other bloggers. Especially as these are just my opinions and you might feel totally fine about these pet peeves.
I’m so guilty of writing posts from my phone lol

My pet peeve is more of an interaction thing. I’ve commented on posts and saw other comments (A LOT) above me where they were never even acknowledged. It happens to the best of us I know, but I’ve come to recognize those that do it often. It’s incredibly rude.

Definitely agree with these! Mine would be when I read a post and some of the words in there don’t quite make sense, and you realise it was probably written on a phone, and the phone autocorrected stuff so the sentence makes no sense π« (she writes, then very quickly proofreads her comment just in case! π) x

I absolutely hate doing anything blogging related from my phone, other than checking my notifications. You will never find me blogging from my phone unless I have no other choice. I don’t even like reading blogs from my phone. I prefer doing everything from my desktop.
