Hey Guys,
I hope you’re doing well? I missed Sunday’s upload purposely as I’ve decided to go back to a two week schedule; I think I’ll be uploading on a Monday and Thursday. Anyways, recently my very lovely Mother treated me to a Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick. I’ve been using it for a few days now so it’s time for a cheeky review.
The Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick has been on my wishlist for well over 6 months and for good reason. The shade ‘Pillowtalk’ is just the perfect nude. Sold for Β£24 on Cult Beauty this is a pretty pricey lipstick.
The packaging is gorgeous and I can seriously say that it feels so classy. I really feel that it will last and isn’t going to become broken or battered in my bag. The packaging is a rosey-gold that is both luxury looking and feminine, I particularly like the shape as it has some texture.
On the official Charlotte Tilbury website the shade is described as a ‘Luminous Modern-Matte Lipstick’. From this I expected a soft colour that was both matte and glossy, which surprisingly it is. On the Cult Beauty website the description is as follows:
This luscious matte lipstick not only imparts bold, kiss-proof colour but also hydrates and protects lips with a delicate blend of oils and waxes, together with ‘lipstick tree’ and orchid extracts. Rich in light-diffusing pigments to create the illusion of enhanced lip fullness, the pigment payoff is second-to-none – velvety-textured but non-drying, this keeps lips soft and nourished while creating an arresting make up look. And to ensure application is effortless, thereβs an innovative squared-off angled tip which mirrors the precision of a lip brush for the most perfectly defined lip line and cupid’s bow.
Straight up I love this formula. It is hydrating, doesn’t dry down in a way that feels heavy and the longevity is pretty good and doesn’t do that clumping in the corners thing that some products do. I love the way the product looks but I do have to apply a couple of coats to get that perfectly opaque finish, however I think that is common with lipsticks that are also hydrating.Β My only complaint is that it isn’t a true matte which is what I usually go for but it isn’t a straight up shimmer or gloss either so it still works well for me. P.S. is this picture a little to close and personal…
As mentioned in the description, the squared-off angled tip really does help for application and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed applying it because of how easy this shape makes it. I feel like I can both line and fill my lips with this product getting it into every little curve.
So what’s the verdict. I’m loving it, I can’t compare the formula to anything else I’ve ever tried and for that reason I do think it’s worth the higher price tag. Well that, the highend name and A class packaging. If you’re looking for a product to treat yourself then I think this is a yes.
Which high-end products are worth your dollar bills?

The high end products I wonβt live without are tarte shape tape, Laura Mercier setting powder, and Fenty Beauty Trophy Wife highlighter. All of those are sooooooo worth the money.

I donβt know whether or not itβs the packing but it reminds me of the revolution beautyβs (formerly makeup revolution) renaissance lipstick. You should maybe try it out and do a comparison
